Silent Mode vs. Interactive Mode
On the Script toolbar there is a button that will enable you to run the script in either InterActive or Silent Mode. When the button is in Silent mode there is no border around the Interactive button on the Script toolbar and there is no user interaction. That is, none of the dialog windows will be displayed. The setting that were provided during script recording are those that will be used during execution. In Interactive mode, the palyback operation will stop at every window dialog box to allow the user to either change or accept the parameters entered.
Note that if part or all of a script has been set to run in either Interactive or Silent mode, this button's state will not override that setting. It will only override those steps that are set to the Default state. |
